Membership
The executive Council shall consist of the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and four members
The immediate past president and immediate past secretary shall be EX- Officio members
Duration of the office
- President 1 year
- Vice-president - 1 year
- Secretary 2 years
- Treasurer - 2 years
- Members 2 years
Extension of terms and retirements:
The term of office of any member shall be as prescribed above and shall not be extendable. In case of resignation/nonavailability of the president, the vice-president shalltake over as the president with immediate effect. For all other offices, the vacancy shall be filled at the following general body meeting in a proper election. No person shall continue/be elected for the same position after completing his/her term in office in the normal course. However, a member may be reacted for the same office as an extraordinary measure after an interval of at least 3 years unless he completes the office, he is not eligible to contest.
Absence from Council meetings:
Any member of the Council who remains Absent from the meetings of the Council for three consecutive meetings shall be Deemed to have resigned and his/her membership from the Council shall stand terminated automatically, unless otherwise decided by the members of the Council.
Duties:
The council shall be responsible as the body for the conduct of the affairs of the APRAS
Maintain proper records
Planning and executing activities to attain objectives of the association.
Calling the general body meeting and placing before it such agenda as required by these bye laws, and all the other such matters that may affect the objectives of APRAS.
Invites and co-option:
The council May invite any member or non-member to participate in its deliberations on the specific issues.
Meeting Of the Council:
The executive Council shall meet before the Annual General Body Meeting and at least one more time during the calendar year.
